Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!

Tulameen’s truly got the Dream Team supporting it!

As the dust is settling and our little town is resuming its laid back pace.. we’d like to recognize everyone who has come to the table in August and supported our Community!  There were many more people than this that stepped up and leant a hand to make for a very successful Tulameen Days – we appreciate you!  Please join me in thanking everyone that helped out

For Tulameen Days:

Building the Gazebo – Remo, Shane, Al and Rick for their muscle and creative thinking for getting the Tulameen Community Club’s new permanent gazebo set up behind the hall!

The Beef BBQ – headed up by Cheryl Maddalozzo and her army of volunteers.. who were like a machine in that kitchen!

Rhonda and Bryan Kirkness – who ordered, delivered and paid for all the corn you enjoyed.. it was picked the morning before you ate it!  To all the corn shuckers.. who shucked in record time and to Tony Ellis for his trailer for the husks and garbage.

Lorne Henrikson and his band of beer garden employees who made sure you had ice cold bevvies – including the set up and tear down of all tents and tables.  It was refreshing!  The 50/50 ladies brought their A game and Lisa George all day, every year, beer ticket seller – thank you!

Brent Wattie from Sleeman Breweries … for a $500 donation.

Lisa Coulter, Shane Smith and Lodestone Flats, for just being the best neighbours, paying for the liquor license and the security for our event, and providing a venue for Tulameen Idol.  You’re the best!

Lisa also stepped up and hosted the Horseshoe Tournament….

The Tulameen Fire Department for organizing the parade.. these people do sooo much for our Community, and they have time to help with our fundraising!

Steph Hughes for organizing the Bike Rodeo for the kids.. our kids are our future!   What a great turnout!

Shawn Hughes for organizing the revival of the Tulameen Days ball tournament!  FIVE teams on the roster.. so great to see!

Simone and Jeff Lawrence for organizing and setting up the first-ever Pickleball tournament.. high praise coming from all participants!

Toni Murray and her group of kitchen workers who’ve brought the Pancake Breakfast back to the table (or picnic table!) on Sunday.

Samantha Stevens, Caitlin Merenick, Danielle Kruger, Nicole Don, Cindy Suidy, and Nikki Stushnoff for running the schoolyard games on Saturday after the parade.. there were dozens of kids!

Angie, Frankie and Sophia DeJesus for once again, setting up the Cake Decorating Contest on Friday and the Cake Walk on Saturday.. there were some pretty amazing creations!

Caitlin Merenick and her crew for producing the debut of Tulameen Idol!  Who knew there was so much talent in Tulameen!?  Thanks to Nick Moldowan and Mike Woods for their technical support..

Bill and Candace from the Trading Post.. just because you do so much for the Community!  We love you!

For the Car Show:

Paul Sousedik – who worked tirelessly on his 3rd Annual Car show.  He has donated $5000 from the proceeds to the Tulameen Community Club .. big win for the Community!

Fred and Penny Stadel.. have also generously donated $500!

 And…

Trudy Kotzian has kindly donated $3000 for the upkeep of the cemetery…

Tulameen Days is our biggest fundraiser of the year and it has been an amazing August for the Tulameen Community Club.  We also need to thank the Tulameen Community Club executive, who keeps the wheels turning the rest of the year for our little town.  Barb Jones for her amazing spreadsheets and organizational skill – you’re the best. And … thank you to our resident Town Guy, Keith Sanderson.. who really does keep the lights on!

It truly does take a village.  Thank you everyone!
